Ex-SLA member gets sentence reduced
A prison board cut one year from the 14-year prison sentence of Sara Jane Olson, an ex-Symbionese Liberation Army member formerly known as Kathleen Soliah. Olson pleaded guilty to the 1975 attempted bombings of two Los Angeles police cars.
Last fugitive SLA member sentenced
James Kilgore, the last fugitive member of the Symbionese Liberation Army to be brought to justice, was sentenced to four-and-a-half years in prison for passport fraud and possession of a pipe bomb. He is expected to be sentenced to an additional six years next month on murder charges after pleading guilty last year in the 1975 shooting death of a bank customer during an SLA bank holdup.
Fifth SLA member makes plea
Former 1970s radical James Kilgore, who spent decades on the run from bomb and murder charges linked to his days with the Symbionese Liberation Army, pleaded guilty Friday to federal explosives and passport fraud charges.
